When It’s Bittersweet…
So this isn’t my normal type of post. There won’t be anything about our latest project or some of our DIY ideas.
We’ve been making so much progress on my mom and dad’s living room, dining room, and foyer project. But as we’ve been making progress and speeding toward the finish, I’ve watched my mom slow down. More tired. More downtime. ‘Less her’… to the point where it was getting scary.
Part of the fun of this project has been her excitement. It’s fueled my excitement and made it all the more worthwhile.
Her slowing down has now turned to serious illness, and this week she was diagnosed with cancer—it’s hard to even type that word. She has lymphoma. There is a tough road in front of her but her prognosis is excellent.
We choose to remain, faithful, hopeful, and optimistic. I am writing to tell you this because my posts will be a bit sporadic until we get a plan of action in place.
I ask you to bear with me as I will be there for my mom.
If you pray, please remember us today. I know we will absolutely get through this.
